IOWA CITY (KWWL)-- RE/MAX Real Estate Centre and Gay and Ciha Funeral Services are extending their invitation to the public to come and join the Wreaths Across America (WAA) Ceremony.

The ceremony will be held Saturday at Oakland Cemetery, located at 1000 Brown Street in Iowa City. WWA is part of a nationwide ceremony which is held in 286 cemeteries across the country

Many individuals, businesses and organizations have sponsored 150 wreaths to be laid at the grave sites.  The public is invited to participate in laying a wreath to honor a veteran.

As part of the ceremony the family of fallen Army Sgt. Kampha B. Sourivong, an Iowa City native who was killed during Operation Iraqi Freedom, will lay a wreath at the grave site of their son and brother.  The Sourivong Family will be escorted by an honor guard from the same company of which Sgt.
