IOWA CITY (KWWL)-- Aliasger Salem, Ph.D., assistant professor of pharmaceutics in the UI College Pharmacy, has received a two year grant worth $240,000 from the National Cancer Center Institute to optimize vaccines used to treat and prevent solid tumors such as melanoma.
Salem is a member of Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center, will conduct the research with George Weiner, M.D., professor of internal medicine and director of Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Iowa.
