WATERLOO (KWWL) -- A Winter Storm Watch has been posted for Eastern Iowa along and north of Interstate 80 through Tuesday evening.
An Alberta Clipper raced through the Midwest Sunday dropping an inch or so of new snow on portions of eastern Iowa.
Most areas will see an inch or less. Hard on its heels is a large storm system. This one will track to our south and that usually means heavy snow to the north of the low.
There will be plenty of moisture available with this system.
With all that available moisture and the cold air over us, Eastern Iowa has the potential to see widespread 4 to 6 inch snowfall amounts with isolated higher totals.
