A new study shows that the majority of parents are willing to be questioned about their alcohol use by their child's pediatrician.
Researchers at Harvard University gave a group of 1,000 parents questionnaires that asked about their alcohol use and about their willingness to be screened by their child's pediatrician.
73% of those without alcohol problems said they would be comfortable being screened by their child's doctor.
That's compared to 52% of those with alcohol problems.
But many of those parents said they would be ok with computer or pencil and paper surveys.
