Panthers prepare for Maine

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa (KWWL) -- UNI's second season starts in just 6 days when the third seeded Panthers play host to the University of Maine.  This is the same Maine team the Iowa Hawkeyes beat 46-3 in week one this season.

The Black Bears snuck into the playoffs with an 8- 4 overall record, and their selection came as a bit of surprise, and Panther head coach Mark Farley says the Black Bears new life could be a factor that makes them very dangerous.

"We knew we were going to play in this game 2 weeks ago,"  said Farley, "They found out last night they were going to get another week, and that just gives you new life and new energy.  So, I expect a very high energy football team."

The game kicks off at 4:05 PM Saturday.
