KWWL (Coralville) - Patients at the University of Iowa Children's Hospital got an early chance to celebrate the holidays.
The kids went on a shopping spree at the Coralville Mall. The shopping expedition was sponsored by Aiming For a Cure.
A pair of pediatric cancer patients useed a $5,000 donation to purchase holiday gifts for their peers.
"That's why I'm buying toys to make their life better while they're up in the hospital so they don't really think about what's going on. They can forget about it," Cameron Christiansen, a cancer survivor said.
