CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -- An overnight chase through Cedar Rapids lands a man in jail, charged with third offense drunken driving.

Police say the chase started at 1:08 a.m. Thursday near Wiley Blvd. and Roxbury Dr. NW in Cedar Rapids.  Police say 36-year old Matthew Robbins failed to stop after a traffic violation and sped off.  Officers chased Robbins all the way to the 5100 block of Wilson Ave. SW, where they say Robbins ditched his car and started running.

Robbins was eventually taken into custody and is charged with third offense OWI, interference with official acts with injury, driving while barred and attempting to elude.
