JOHNSON COUNTY (KWWL) - Road signs have been disappearing across Johnson County, making it tough for those not familiar with the area to get around.  The Johnson County Sheriff's office says they're cracking down on road sign theft and vandalism across the county.

It's not just a prank -- it's a crime.

"So we're talking about several thousands of dollars we're into now so we take it very seriously and we treat it seriously and it's costing the taxpayers a lot of money," said Johnson County Sheriff Lonny Pulkrabek.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 358-TIPS, that 358-8477.  There is a reward for information leading to an arrest.
