Music for flood relief

IOWA CITY (KWWL) -- It was music to the ears for people still recovering from the floods of 2008 at the University of Iowa Thursday night.

The music department held a second concert to benefit the "Artists Recovery Fund". The money will go toward replacing instuments destroyed in the floods.

"Disaster really brings the community together and it does," said Sam Knutson, who performed at the benefit concert. "And I think its great that the artistic community is getting together to get money for the rest of the artistic community from this event "

Alongside music, the improv comedy group "Comics in Action" preformed at the fundraiser.
