Getting locked up for MDA

Waterloo (KWWL) - Many upstanding Cedar Valley residents got locked up Thursday. Even KWWL's Mark Schnackenberg was put behind bars.

It was all in an effort to raise money for the Multiple Dystrophy Association. Volunteers were locked up for an hour, then they got to make calls to friends and family to bail them out.

"They're raising money to provide help from families as far as helping them purchase wheel chairs, leg braces, communication devices, support group secession, clinics, things like that, and also providing hope for a cure," Josh Nuss, MDA District Director said.

The goal was to raise $50,000. Each "cell mate" tried to raise $2,400 to send three kids to MDA camp.
