Tough Transitions seminars planned in Waterloo

DES MOINES (KWWL) -- A seminar titled "Tough Transitions" have been planned for Waterloo following the tornadoes, floods, and economic turmoil of 2008 for Waterloo area residents, volunteers, and professionals.

AARP, in collaboration with local agencies, are bringing author Elizabeth Harper Neeld, Ph. D., to the community for two educational sessions dealing with life's tough transitions.

The sessions are planned for Thursday, Dec. 11 at the Waterloo Center for the Arts located at 225 Commercial Street.

A morning session is offered for professionals and volunteers from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m., and an evening session is offered for the general public from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. CEU credits will be available to professionals by Allen College.

There is no cost to attend either session, but advance registration is required due to limited seating capacity. Resources and refreshments will be provided.
