Science Day for Cub Scouts

WATERLOO (KWWL) -- How does a water balloon fit into a juice jug?  After a science lesson at the Grout Museum Imaginarium in Waterloo Saturday, 64 Cub Scouts can tell you that its all because of air pressure.

As part of "Science Day", they also learned about Newton's Law of Motion, gravity and hydraulics.

"Its actually a nicer place to come to the Grout Museum to have the scientist do the project with the children, instead of maybe someone that doesn't have the science degree.  So they'll learn more and they're actually more attentive if they're out in the public with someone new," said Cubmaster Chris Griffith.

The Cub Scout science pin is one of 20 the scouts will have to earn before they become Boy Scouts.
