Hawkeye defensive back Dalton arrested

Iowa City, Iowa -- For a short while it seemed like the off-field incidents were over for the Hawkeye football program, but now with a second incident in just the last couple weeks, they're right back in the spotlight.  Senior defensive back Harold Dalton caused the latest stir.

Dalton was arrested early this morning following a bar fight and charged with interference with official acts, disorderly conduct, and public intoxication.

Head coach Kirk Ferentz issued this statement in response:  "The incident involving Harold Dalton was very disappointing, especially considering the circumstances. Harold has been suspended immediately, and indefinitely, from all team activities."

This all came just hours after Iowa fell 27, 24 at Illinois, meaning they'll likely have to win 2 of their final 3 to receive a bowl invite.  Next up, Joe Paterno and #3 Penn State invade Iowa City on Saturday.
