Alzheimer's Awareness Month: Q & A

MARION (KWWL) -- Saturday is the first day of November and that means it's the beginning of Alzheimer's Awareness Month.  Saturday A first of its kind event in iowa helped people learn more about the disease, especially in its early stages.

A panel of experts, including two people living with Alzheimer's Disease, gathered at Marion City Hall for an early stage town hall meeting.  5.2 million Americans have been diagnosed with Alzheimer's.

"We just want people to be aware that this is becoming that is huge and it can effect anyone, not just someone who is older," said Elizabeth Schlehuber with Alzheimer's Association.
