Tripoli Shocks Top Ranked Wapsie Valley 3-2

In high school volleyball-- Tripoli and top ranked Wapsie Valley have ruled class 1A over the past decade.

Tripoli owns six state titles over the last ten years--while Wapsie Valley has won the last two.

Tonight these powerhouse programs clash in a 1-A regional semifinal.

Wapsie up 25-24 in game one, Lexis Kuhlmann with the kill---Warriors take the first game 26-24

2nd game, Wapsie starts strong---Eryca Hingtgen using the tip, Warriors up 11-8

But then the Panthers get rolling, Erica Ollendieck getting up high---5 in a row for Tripoli, they lead 13-11

Ollendieck again, that's 7 in a row

Wapsie rallies to take a 23-22 lead but you guessed it----Ollendieck strikes one more time

The Panthers take game 2 with Elizabeth Platte serving---25-23

And unranked Tripoli shocks the two time defending state champions three games to two.
