Janesville wins shoot-out with Dunkerton 46-38

JANESVILLE (KWWL) -- Janesville's seen the post season only one time before.  Dunkerton had never been there, and on Friday night, it would be the host school that vastly improved their playoff resume, as they dropped the visiting Raiders 46-38.

Dunkerton would get the upper hand as they turned 3 huge turnovers into gold to take a 22-14 lead at the halftime break.

Janesville, however, would dominate much of the second half behind stellar play from junior running back Jeromey Despard.  Despard crossed the goalline 4 times in the final 24 minutes, and the Wildcat defense held off Dunkerton to seal the victory.

The Wildcats (8-1) now travel to Central City (8-1) for first round playoff action Monday.
