KWWL (Cedar Rapids) - As some homes come down, others are getting fixed up. Volunteers from the organization, Eight Days of Hope, have come from around the world to help Iowa flood victims.
The ministry started after Hurricane Katrina and is now on its 6th disaster. One volunteer from Mississippi is helping Peggy Blaylock's home return to normal.
"This is a piece of her life that we're trying to help put back on track, and we want to do the best of our abilities to give her what she wants," says Joe Hoadley, 8 Days of Hope Volunteer.
8 Days of Hope started work Sunday and will remodel or rebuild at least 100 homes.
