FEMA changes guidelines after health scare

CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL)-- Health concerns with FEMA  trailers have agency officials making changes.

100 concerned residents packed a room at Westdale Mall in Cedar Rapids Friday night to hear health experts address concerns over formaldehyde issues.

The agency will now assist flood victims with temporary housing if they choose to move out of the FEMA-provided mobile homes.

Previously, the agency said residents could move out, but some would have to pay out of pocket for alternative housing.
