CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -- Two parents were charged with Child Endangerment.  According to the Cedar Rapids Police Department, 6 month old Emrys Thomas Taylor was found dead on October 16.

Police say they were called out to 838 Camburn Ct SE because of a report of a child not breathing.

Emrys was taken to Mercy Hospital but was not revived.

Police determined that both Lisa Taylor and Landon Taylor willfully deprived the child of necessary supervision which would be appropriate for a child of Emrys age.

The Taylor's left Emrys unattended for an extended period of time which led to the death of Emrys in an unsafe environment.

Lisa Taylor and Landon Taylor came to the Cedar Rapids Police Department where they were charged with Child Endangerment (Class B Felony).

Landon Taylor was also charged with PCS-Marijuana (Penalty Enhanced) ( an Aggravated Misdemeanor ) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (a Simple Misdemeanor). Both were transported to Anamosa.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.  There are other children in the home, but they are not deemed to be in danger.
