Panther Volleyball Team Digs for a Cause

CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -- The University of Northern Iowa volleyball team will be 'digging' for a cause this Saturday.

The team will take part in the 'Dig Pink' campaign on Saturday, Oct. 25 against Illinois State at the McLeod Center. The first serve is set for 7 pm.

Dig Pink is a national program which raises funds and awareness for breast cancer. College and high school volleyball teams around the nation are participating in the program during October to promote the cause.

The Panthers will wear pink jerseys on the night of the game. For each dig, Community National Bank will be donating $5.

In addition, CNB will match and donate the amount of money won during the "Roll in the Dough" contest in between sets two and three.

Pink t-shirts will be sold for $10 at the match with all proceeds benefiting breast cancer research. Pink cotton candy, snow cones, and ice cream will also be sold at the match.

Tickets for the match can be purchased in advance at KWWL-TV, Community National Bank and University Book and Supply. Tickets are also available by calling 319-273-4TIX or by visiting
