Sending a taste of home to Iowa's Bravest

You can go grocery shopping and help our troops at the same time.

Members of West High's Air Force JROTC are working to help make the holidays brighter for Iowa service members overseas. The students asked shoppers to donate food items such as chips, sunflower seeds, and cookies. The items will go into care packages put together by Iowa's Bravest.

"Well for right now all we're doing is handing out flyers, they can pic up the items and drop them off here. We're also accepting cash donations to cover the postage, but otherwise, its just going to be dropping off items at the table and we'll get them to Iowa's Bravest," says Dustin Woody, Waterloo High School.

Iowa's Bravest plans to pack up another round of care packages on November 11th. The boxes will be shipped to Iraq, Iran, and Afghanistan.
