Center for kids reopens after flood

Cedar Rapids (KWWL) - A center for kids in cedar rapids is celebrating their grand re-opening since the floods.

The Four Oaks on D-Street was 5 feet under water this June. The damages added up to more than $300,000. Tours were given around the center to the different sections including the youth area, mental health section, and the 'delinquency' center for young adults.

"First of all we got done a lot quicker than we thought we would, ad secondly it was the Four Oaks staff that really made it happen," says Jim Ernst, Four Oaks CEO.

The center opened up by early september, but waited for today to celebrate and recognize the staffs post-flood effort.
