Sewer line causes overflow at Coralville hotel

CORALVILLE, Iowa (AP) -

State environmental officials say a plugged sewer line at a Coralville hotel has caused an overflow of sewage.

Iowa Department of Natural Resources officials say repairs were being made to the sewer line at the Hampton Inn after Sunday morning's overflow.

Officials say sewage ran into a storm sewer that eventually outlets at Biscuit Creek. That creek flow into Clear Creek and then to the Iowa River.

Officials didn't immediately know how much sewage overflowed from the plugged line.
