Zach Johnson wins Texas Open

Zach Johnson's mediocre 2008 came to a screeching halt Sunday afternoon and shifted into overdrive.  Johnson shot 6-under par in the final round of the Texas Open to finish at 19-under overall and win for the first time in the 2008 season.

Johnson was 2 strokes better than a 3-way logjam for second consisting of Charlie Wi, Tim Wilkinson, and Mark Wilson.

After winning the title, Zach Johnson was quick to share the victory with every one back home, "This one I'm dedicating to everyone back in Iowa. My community back home has gone through a lot this year, and this one's for everybody back there that's given me unconditional support. So I think them, and I love everybody back there, so this one's for them."

The win is the 4th of Johnson's career.
