Dino Talks start at new Science Station exhibit

CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) --  After being wiped out by the summer floods, the Science Station in Cedar Rapids is partially back in business, with a temporary location at Lindale Mall.

The 'Be a Dinosaur' exhibit in the lower level of Lindale Mall offers a virtual world of dinosaurs for kids.  Each Sunday through November, the Science Station is also offering free presentations from dinosaur experts.

The discussion this Sunday was the first of five presentations.  It covered how experts track down and dig up fossils.

"We have the triceratops (dinosaur) and the t-rex and we have panels, fossils and other things for little kids to do in a museum store," said Building Director Terri Breheny with the Science Station.

The new location has seen about 1,000 people within the first ten days of being open.  It's open through the end of December.
