VINTON (KWWL) -- The Vinton Fire Department will hold their first pancake breakfast since the flood.  The fire station had more than $250,000 in damage during the June Flood.

According to the City Coordinator, most of the damage will be covered by money received from the state and FEMA.

The Fire Chief says the pancake breakfasts will help pay for operational and training needs.

Most of the vehicles and equipment were removed from the fire station before the flood, but the training room and kitchen had a lot of damage.

On Sunday, October 12, from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Fire Department will have a pancake breakfast.

The event 1st Avenue and East 2nd Street, east of the Cedar River Bridge.
