Cascade at Jesup

JESUP (KWWL)  -- Seventh-ranked Cascade is on the trail to the school's first post-season bid since 1990, and they hit the road to put their 6-0 record on the line against winless Jesup.

It didn't take long for the Cougars to get on the board, as they scored just three plays into the game on Matt McCullough's thirty-five yard scoring run.

The stout Cascade defense showed up on Jesup's first offensive possession as Stephen Reiter intercepted a third down pass and took it deep into Jesup territory.  From there, Evan Ressler capped off the drive with one yard touchdown run.

Late in the first quarter the Cougars used a little trickery to get back on the board.  Facing fourth down and long, Cascade pulled a fake punt out of the playbook as McCullough passed to Ressler to keep their drive alive.  Just three plays later McCullough would scamper to the endzone again, making it 20-0 in favor of the Cougars at that point.

McCullough would add two more scoring runs in the second half as the Cougars went on to win 36-0 to stay unbeaten and move one step closer to their first playoff bid in 18 years.
