Iowa State moves on to Baylor

Posted:

(Ames, IA)  Saturday's tough loss against #16 Kansas may take it's toll on the minds of the Iowa State players, but if that's the case they're not showing it on the outside.  They say they're ready for the next ballgame--

After Saturday's tough battle against the Jyhawks the scene now moves to Baylor, but the real opponent may be the road itself.  Iowa State hasn't won a game away from Jack Trice Stadium since beating Texas A&M in 2005, but the Cyclones say their only focus is on getting better.

"People keep saying you guys haven't won a road game since 2005.  I was in high school when that happened, but no one's thinking about that.  Sure Coach Chizik's said it, but to us, we've lost 3 straight," says Quarterback Austin Arnaud, "so that's the only thing we're worried about is getting on the right track.  Right now with a road game we have to go win and win on the road to be capable of doing things in this conference.  But now we're worried about correcting the wrongs we made on Saturday."

The Cyclones kick off against Baylor Saturday night at 6 o' clock.
