DUBUQUE - (KWWL) - After winning its first three games-- Dubuque Hempstead has stumbled the past couple of weeks against top ten powers Cedar Falls and Iowa City high. Tonight the mustangs host cross-town rival Dubuque Senior-the Rams still seeking their first win of the season.

When it comes to cross town rivals, records are set aside, its almost like a clean slate. The guys are playing for city pride, and maybe even some bragging rights.

Early on, it looked like it'd be a good match up. We pick it up in the first...Hempstead up 7-0. Mustangs Matt Eihlers with the hand off to Brock Haas. He stretches it across the line for the td. Its 14-0 after the extra point.

Senior not giving up yet, on the next drive, possible play of the week nominee here, Calvin Hawthorne with the catch. He rams this one to the other end...95 yards to light up the board..14-7 Hempstead.

But the Mustangs continues widens the gap....on this long pass to Riley Anderson...right into his hands.  Its 21-7. Hempstead sidelines fired up about that.

And the trend continues, Anderson again, this time with the grab at the 35...he's off the races...

And the second half more of the same from Hempstead.

Hempstead wins this one big...55 to 7.
