Dubuque Skydive Boogie

DUBUQUE (KWWL) -- Some might think its crazy, others just love the thrill, but today people gathered out at the Dubuque airport for the Skydive Dubuque Boogie.

People got the chance to jump out of a "perfectly good airplane" overlooking the tri-states. Some were first time jumpers and others were veterans. But for veteran jumper, Curt Schiesl, it was the view that made the trip worthwhile. "It was a lot softer when he pulled the shoot.  I seen my house...I think...I'm pretty sure," says Schiesl.

Today's event was hosted by Skydive Dubuque. The plane holds 22 jumpers jumping over thirteen thousand feet. The event runs through Sunday and what a better time to do it...then a cool October weekend.
