News Release (KWWL)
St. Luke's Hospital will welcome former Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU) patients and their families to a celebratory reunion on Sunday, October 5, 2008 from 2 to 4 p.m. at hospital in the Nassif Heart Center. The reunion will bring graduates of the NICU and their families back together with the doctors, nurses and other NICU staff members who worked so hard to help them survive and thrive.
The free event will include refreshments, games and activities for children of all ages.
"The NICU reunion is a great opportunity for past NICU families and NICU staff to re-connect," said Karla Pisarik, St. Luke's NICU Family Support Specialist. "Many of the families develop strong bonds with the NICU staff and this is a way everyone to reconnect and see how much the babies have changed and grown."
