WATERLOO, Iowa (AP) - Black Hawk County officials have released the name of a man who died after being booked into the county jail.

Officials say 43-year-old Miles Clifton, of Waterloo, was being booked into the Black Hawk County jail on Sept. 24 after he was arrested on domestic abuse and alcohol charges. He was in the jail's intake area about 3 a.m. when deputies noticed he was having medical problems.

Clifton was taken to a Waterloo hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Black Hawk County Sheriff Mike Kubick says officials are waiting for autopsy results.
