Eastern Iowa schools compete for $25,000

CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL)- 15 area High Schools will compete for $25,000 in cash prizes from the Lindale Mall, in Lindale's eleventh annual School Cents community program. The School Cents program is designed to assist area schools with funding for their programs in need.

Through the School Cents program, participating schools compete to accumulate points towards $25,000 in prize money from the Lindale Mall. Points are accumulated when customers turn in receipts thereby "voting" for their favorite school.

2008 Participating schools include: Alburnett HS, Benton Community HS, Center Point-Urbana HS, Central City HS, East Buchanan HS, Kennedy HS, Marion HS, Metro HS, North-Linn HS, Olin HS, Solon HS, Springville HS, Cedar Rapids Washington HS, Vinton-Shellsburg High School and Xavier HS.
