Hawks looking to Start New Homecoming Streak

Last year-- the Iowa Hawkeye football program had a couple of impressive streaks snapped at Kinnick stadium.

A loss at home to Western Michigan denied the Hawks a trip to their seventh straight bowl game.

And in the fifth game of the 2007 season---Indiana beat Iowa 38-21 to snap the Hawkeyes' seven game winning streak in homecoming games.

This time it's Northwestern looking to spoil the party at Kinnick.

Wildcat quarterback C.J. Barcher and tailback Tyrell Sutton were a part of the wrecking crew that beat the Hawks 21-7 back in 2006 ---beginning what would be a four game losing streak to end the season for the Hawkeyes.

On saturday-- Iowa head coach Kirk Ferentz says the Hawks will face an unbeaten Northwestern team with both Sutton and Barcher that is playing smart football.
