One person facing life threatening injuries in Black Hawk County crash

CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -

UPDATE: Iowa State Patrol confirm one person was hurt in a crash last night.

The accident happened on Highway 20 eastbound at mile marker 227. 

Authorities say a vehicle driven by Keith Miner of Creston was stopped in the road to pick up a part of his lost load, when a vehicle driven by Noah Boyer of La Porte City struck the right side of his trailer. 

Boyer, was extracted from the vehicle and taken to the hospital with life threatening injuries.

The Iowa State Patrol is investigating a potentially serious accident in Black Hawk County.

The accident happened on Highway 20, between Cedar Falls and Waterloo around 10 p.m. Wednesday night. 

Waterloo Police say State Patrol is investigating the crash, and troopers were on scene overnight.

A witness tells KWWL it appears a car and a semi carrying a carnival ride collided. The witness also reports seeing an ambulance leave the scene.

Authorities couldn't confirm any injuries or fatalities.
