CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -

With a swing and some star power the Zach Johnson Foundation Classic raised more than a million dollars for the 'Kids on Course' program which inspires Cedar Rapids students to succeed.

"Just hearing the success that they're having, really moving the needle in education here in the Cedar Rapids surrounding areas and all the elementary schools that they're in," says Dallas Clark, Former NFL Player & Iowa Hawkeye.

Zach Johnson's Foundation fully funds the program and each year his famous friends help support it.

"Just to be able to come out here and help Zach out and I know they raise a lot of money for his community and we're able to use golf as out platform to give back and that's pretty special and it means a lot to all of us," says PGA Tour golfer Bill Haas.

John Daly was one of the big names at the event as well as Kurt Warner who like Zach Johnson grew up in Eastern Iowa.

The stars signed autographs for fans and took pictures between holes.

"It's a great event, the public can come out and get close to these celebrities and they treat us so good," says Brad Hawley.

The grand total raised this year is $1.3 Million, it's the most the Zach Johnson Foundation Classic has ever raised.
