Denver looking for missing crosswalk signs

Posted: Updated:
DENVER (KWWL) -

The City of Denver posted to Facebook, saying they are looking for two of their crosswalk signs.

The city says these signs cost $350 a piece, and they are important because they, "ensure that kids going to and from school can do so safely."

If the signs were stolen, whoever did this could be charged with 3rd degree theft and with unlawful possession of an official traffic control device.

In the Facebook post, it says, "If anyone has information on where these signs are located please contact the Denver City Hall at 319-984-5642 or the Denver Police Department at 319-352-5400 option #3. If the signs were stolen, we would appreciate that they are placed back and no further questions will be asked. Thank you!!"
