90 Days: A message from missing La Porte City teen's mom

Posted: Updated:

Jake Wilson's mom shared this message with our KWWL reporter, Amanda Gilbert:

"The 7th has marked our world forever. It has been 3 long months and each day that goes by and he is not home tears another peace of our hearts out. Law enforcement, his family, friends, community members, and people we don't even know are still searching for Jake. I made a promise to Jake that we wouldn't give up, and I don't break promises. We want to thank everyone that is still sharing his name and searching for him. We don't need him to fade out of the media. One other thing I want to say is all the children that are still missing, we pray each of them get home safe. And we are very happy to hear of the ones that have been found."

It's been 90 days, or three months, since La Porte City teen Jake Wilson went missing.

Jake's mom posted to Facebook, saying, "Today you have been missing for 3 long months Jake Wilson! Please try to find your way home. We miss you more than you'll ever know. IF YOU HAVE ANY INFORMATION REGARDING JAKE'S DISAPPEARANCE, PLEASE CONTACT LAW ENFORCEMENT OR CALL 911. We need Jake home! #BringJakeHome"

KWWL caught up with the La Porte City police chief for updates. We will have full coverage tonight and tomorrow night with the latest information.

He says to call the La Porte City Police Station or the Black Hawk County Sheriff's Office if you have any information that might help with this case.

There are some new bracelets out that say #BringJakeHome.

A post on Facebook reads, "Check these NEW bracelets out!!! Jake LOVES the Chicago Bears so we ordered some bracelets in Chicago Bears colors. We have adult and youth sizes available for $5 each. If you would like a bracelet contact Shelly Hopkins at Hoppy's.  ALL profits go to the family!"
