CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -

Cedar Rapids Police investigators are working to identify people involved in a crowd that shut down the Casey's General Store on the corner of Ellis and O Avenue NW.

Police said between 25 and 40 people gathered in the parking lot and in the store section of the gas station Tuesday night around 10:20 p.m. During this, several fights broke out. They said people were also stealing from the store.

KWWL reached out to the Casey's Thursday and received a firm "no comment" from management on duty.

People in the neighborhood near that Casey's said there have been small fights following the Ellis Park fireworks, but nothing of the same magnitude as Tuesday night.

Charges will be pending following police identification. Cedar Rapids Police said they might release portions of the surveillance video to aid in identification of people involved.
