ST. PAUL, Minn. (KWWL) -

The Minnesota Wild signed former Black Hawk J.T. Brown to a free agent deal on Sunday. The deal will pay the former Waterloo skater $1.375 over the next three years.

The new deal marks a homecoming for the Burnsville, Minnesota native.

Brown is entering his fifth full season in the National Hockey League, most of that spent with the Tampa Bay Lightning.

As a Waterloo Black Hawk, he scored 48 goals during two seasons from 2008-2010.
