MARION (KWWL) -

Investigators with the Marion Police Department say they made an arrest in a robbery case after a DNA match was made at the crime scene.

30-year-old Joshua Hamilton was taken into custody on Wednesday and charged with second-degree robbery. Police say the charge is tied to a Verizon Wireless store robbery in October 2017, in which two masked suspects entered and held up the business in the 2200 block of 7th Avenue in Marion. Officers say Hamilton was arrested at his home in Marion without incident.

The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation crime lab assisted with the DNA analysis, according to Marion Police.
