CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -

Police in Cedar Rapids say a woman is in the hospital tonight after being shot in the leg.

Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Jacolyn Drive Southwest around 5:50 p.m. on Wednesday after a call reporting shots fired. Once in the area, they found the victim in front of a home in the 400 block of Jacolyn Drive Southwest. Police don't believe her injuries are life-threatening, but her name is not being made public at this time. There's currently no information on any suspects, and no arrests have been made in the case.

This is the second shooting Cedar Rapids Police have responded to on Wednesday, after a man was also shot in the 1400 block of 5th Ave Southeast earlier in the day.

This is a developing story, stay with KWWL on air and online as more information becomes available.
