Waterloo Columbus Doubles Team wins another state title

At the Girls 1A state tennis tournament at Byrnes Park in Waterloo...

The Columbus doubles team of Olivia Fain and Taylor Hogan in the finals against a team from Red Oak.

And with their friends cheering them on the Sailors overwhelmed Red Oak...

Taylor Hogan in the far court with a top spin forehand winner...

And former Waterloo West principal Gerald Fain watched his granddaughter Olivia Fain attack the net for one of her many volley winners.

Olivia Fain and Taylor Hogan win the state title 6-love, 6-1. The second straight doubles title for Hogan. Olivia Fain makes state history becoming the first player to win a state singles, state doubles, coed state doubles and a state team championship.
