Iowa man charged, allegedly showed up at house with rifle

A man is facing several charges after allegedly showing up to someone's home with an assault rifle.

It all happened on Sunday in Hawkeye.

The Fayette County Sheriff's office says 22-year-old Mathew Fowlkes is accused of going armed with the intent a class "D" felony and criminal mischief in the second degree a class "D" felony.

Authorities later conducted three search warrants on two cars and a home in Oelwein. 

That search recovered two guns.

While conducting the search, deputies saw evidence of drug trafficking and obtained a second warrant. They then seized a large amount of marijuana, cash and evidence to show the sale of narcotics.

Deputies then charged a second person, 24-year-old Domanick Fowlkes, for possession of a controlled substance with intent to sale, a class "D" felony. 

A third charge was then filed on Mathew Fowlkes for possession of a controlled substance with the intent to sale,a class "D" felony.

Fowlkes is now being held on a $30,000.00 cash bond.
