UPDATE: Name released of man who died after construction related fall in Dubuque

First responders were called to the site of the TownePlace Suites by Marriott Monday. The future hotel is located in the Millwork District.

According to our coverage partners the Telegraph Herald, authorities have identified the man as Timothy J. Leibold, 57, of Dubuque. 

According to Dubuque Fire Chief Rick Steines, Leibold fell from the fourth floor. OSHA officials said he was an employee of the contractor Patrick O'Dowd, a concrete construction company in Dubuque.

Patrick O'Dowd, the owner of the business said the incident was a tragedy.

Kinseth Hospitality, the management group for the hotel did not issue a comment.

Just a few days before, another construction related fall happened in Dubuque County.

On Friday, authorities said they responded to a fall at Dyersville Die Cast. Another man working for Griener Construction fell through a roof, almost 30 feet. He was working on a skylight.The man suffered severe injuries. 

In light of these recent incidents, officials with OSHA said they just want all contractors to exercise heightened awareness, and be provided protective gear.
