UPDATE: Two injured in Waterloo crash

Waterloo police confirm two people were injured in a crash Sunday evening. 

They say the accident happened around 7:15 p.m. near the Highway 218 exit at Greenhill Road. 

The accident involved one vehicle. The names of the people injured in the crash are not being released at this time, but a man injured in the crash was taken to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. A woman is being treated at a local hospital.  

According to police, the driver lost control, and the truck began to roll. The man was thrown from the truck while it was rolling. The truck ended up landing on its roof. 


Waterloo Police are responding to some sort of an accident at Greenhill and Rainbow. 

Witnesses say they could see an ambulance driving away from the scene. 

Greenhill is blocked by Waterloo Police right now, as they are trying to learn more about the incident. 

Waterloo Police, firefighters and other first responders are on scene right now.

We are working to learn how many vehicles and people are involved in the incident.
