IOWA CITY (KWWL) -

Starting Tuesday, people of one Iowa town can start getting their library books delivered to their doorstep.

The Iowa City Public Library has teamed up with a local delivery service called CHOMP, to add books to its menu. CHOMP traditionally has delivered food from area restaurants.

The library said, in a release, if patrons don't have time to pick up a hold book they can use CHOMP.

Here's how it works:

"To use this service, log in to www.chomp.delivery and schedule your delivery once your Holds are ready for pick-up at the Downtown Library. CHOMP delivery charges for this service begin at $2.99 plus a $1.49 convenience fee. The total cost depends on how close you live to the Library."

According to release, delivers can be made to Iowa City, Coralville, North Liberty, University Heights, Hills, and Tiffin.

For more information, visit www.chomp.delivery or call the Library at 319-356-5200.
