GOING GREEN: Standout Hawkeye Josh Jackson drafted by Packers

ARLINGTON, Texas (KWWL) -

A star Iowa Hawkeye will be playing at Lambeau Field on Sundays this fall.

The Green Bay Packers have selected Josh Jackson with the 45th overall pick in the 2018 National Football League draft on Friday night.

Jackson was a consensus All-American cornerback for the Hawkeyes in 2017, leading all of college football with eight interceptions. His highlight-reel interception against Ohio State during Iowa's upset of the then-No. 6 Buckeyes served as a signature moment of Jackson's college career. He tied a school record with three total interceptions against OSU during that game in Kinnick Stadium last November 4.

Jackson could square off with a fellow rookie Hawkeye often as a pro. Former Iowa center James Daniels was chosen by the NFC North rival
Chicago Bears with the 39th selection during the draft at AT&T Stadium in the Dallas area earlier on Friday evening.
