Governor Reynolds orders independent review of IFA

Posted: Updated:

Governor Kim Reynolds has ordered an independent review of the Iowa Finance Authority (IFA) Friday of the reports of sexual harassment by former IFA Executive Director David Jamison.

According to the Office of the Governor, Des Moines Attorney Mark Weinhardt will lead the investigation and will submit a report to the Governor's Office and the Attorney General's Office. Weinhardt was selected by both Offices to investigate the conduct that led to Jamison's firing and any similar incidents or conducts during his time as executive director.

“Since the victims reported these horrible allegations, their safety and privacy have been my top priority,” Gov. Reynolds said. “Now that one of the victims has made the decision to release the specific details of the harassment, I am ordering an independent review of David Jamison’s conduct and what was known about it.”

Weinhardt will also investigate what was known at IFA about these matters and the appropriateness of the response to them.
