A wedding day is a day that's supposed to be close to perfect and one of the happiest days of your life.

When Kara and Dalton planned their wedding for April 14,  they didn't think they would have to worry about any winter weather. But, that wasn't the case this year. The forecast called for heavy snow in the area where they were to be married: Early, Iowa.

In a story posted to Casey's website, a week out from the big day, their caterer called and warned that they may have to cancel if roads get slick. The bride's dad started to think of an alternative for the meal. One of the options he thought of was Casey's pizza.

With that in mind, he called the Casey's in Sioux Rapids and asked if they would be on standby. Casey's agreed, saying they would make as many pizzas as needed.

The blizzard came as predicted, and the caterer had to cancel. In most cases, Casey's would have shut down in a winter storm, but with employees within a couple blocks of the store and on-call, Sioux Rapids Casey's came through. They made 40 pizzas for the wedding reception.

The manager of the store said the reason they kept the store open was to make sure they helped Kara and Dalton. They are local people, and the store didn't want the reception to go without food.

In the end, Kara and Dalton's day was special, no matter the weather or the food.
